Jetzt Lernplan erstellenCooperative Learning based on the approach by Norm and Kathy Green has become more and more popular in German classrooms in the last years. Knowing the basic elements of Cooperative Learning and being able to put into action only some of the various class activities Cooperative Learning suggests, will result in mutual benefit for both, learners and the teacher.
In this seminar students will work with different classes from the Kurt-Tucholsky-Gesamtschule in Krefeld: you will sit in on my classes (both Sekundarstufe I and II, as well as G-Kurse and E-Kurse), plan your own lessons and teach at least two of these lessons. Of course, an evaluation of all my and your lessons will also be part of your time at school.
Apart from the work at school, this seminar will begin with a workshop on Friday and Saturday, February 17th/18th, 2012, covering a theoretical investigation of the basic knowledge of lesson planning as well as the concept of Cooperative Learning and its methodology.
The start of the placement at the Kurt-Tucholsky-Gesamtschule is planned for Monday, February 20th, 2012, and will last to the end of March (depending on your personal preferences in the semester break, we will arrange for individual periods of time that you will be spending at school).
Students who take part in this seminar will have to hand in a -Unterrichtsentwurf” of one of the lessons you really taught at Kurt-Tucholsky-Gesamtschule.
