Jetzt Lernplan erstellenIn this master course we will explore current methods in authorship analyses.
In the first two days in October, we will start by researching the current issues in authorship settings. We will work with recent articles, try to find their weak spots and question the reliability of the current works. These two days will involve reading (mostly English), critical thinking and a lot of discussion. We will also start discussing the methods involved in the process of current authorship analyses.
After this starting phase each student or group of students (no more than three people per group) are asked to do their own authorship analysis with data provided. All students will be working with the same data set and try to determine the author of a questioned document. The methodology, the setting, the process involved in how each student comes to their conclusions is open to the students.
During the semester we only have one scheduled meeting, though each student or group of students is required to meet with the lecturer at least one other time to discuss their progress. On December 11th we will meet for catching up and discuss the progress of each group.
In March we will reconvene and present and discuss the findings.
Course times:
October, 23. & 24.
December, 11.
March (2016), 03. & 04.
Will be provided in class. However, should you wish to cover a specific AA area or paper, please do let me know beforehand.
