The focus of this course is on improving students' ability to read specialised texts in the areas of information technology and mathematics by means of short reading and writing assignments. Advanced grammar will be introduced as necessary. Everyday speaking skills will also be practised.

Detaillierter Inhalt:
This online course is designed to replicate an advanced English (C1) semester course with the advantage that students can complete the exercises on their own time. Weekly assignments in multi-media format will be assigned, giving the students the opportunity to increase their skills and vocabulary by completing exercises and reading texts taken from the realm of IT, mathematics and computer sciences. A range of grammatical and vocabulary exercises make up the course, as well as reading and listening comprehension and text production assignments to be corrected by a tutor. A forum is integrated into the course to encourage an exchange of ideas between participating students.
