Please note: The seminar starts October 10, 2011!!!! The course consists of two parts: 1. Introduction to Strategic Management 2. A virtual game with partner students at a US-University In this course, the student will apply functional expertise to actual strategic issues. The students will be challenged to assess real managerial problems, to integrate all of the skills developed in the MBA curriculum, and to developwell reasoned, innovative, and practical solutions to these problems. Business Stategy Game (BSG) will be an intrinsic part of this course. Teams will be formed and will compete with other teams in the class for the best performing global company. The presentation should cover major benchmarks of performance , market share, gross profit, etc. as well as the strategies employed and their success and /or failure. A clear analysis should be presented on how performance could have been imporved into the future, as if presenting at a shareholders meeting.
