Jetzt Lernplan erstellenThis is a unique and challenging course which will provide you with practical business/marketing experience and allow you to apply your previous business knowledge. In a business world, success in any business function combines functional knowledge along with managerial and technical skills. You will be asked to apply your managerial knowledge, financial knowledge as well as your marketing knowledge.
The centerpiece of the course is a simulated consulting engagement where cross cultural teams will be expected to provide value added contribution to a real, functioning business. The course combines graduate students form University of Massachusettsi n Boston, USA, the University of Kassel, Germany and the University of Pannonia in Veszprem, Hungary into an academic joint venture. Simply put, a joint venture is a cooperative enterprise between two or more independent entities which combines resources from all entities to achieve a common objective. You will participate in a joint venture and experience the challenges of working in self-directed teams, across geographies, political entities, time zones and cultures.
This course simulates, to the extent possible in an academic environment, the contemporary business world. Today, businesses, whether large or small, face a landscape of rapid technological change, globalization and intense competition. Success depends upon the ability to manage this environment 24/7. To do so requires management and employees with the skills, competencies and capabilities to perform effectively and successfully in a dynamic, technological and rapidly changing world. This course will help you understand the challenges of the contemporary business environment and develop the skills necessary to compete successfully through a technologically based course utilizing Blackboard, a leading learning management system (LMS), and other technologically based resources including video conferencing.
